Industry News Issue 10 outlines the key findings of the latest Economic Review published by The Commission. It also contains valuable information regarding tax clearance certificates, vehicle standards, dispatch operator registration, metrology regulations and the new skills development programme.
Dispatch Operators play a crucial role in bringing quality, accountable and accessible SPSV services to all consumers. The Commission for Taxi Regulation is looking forward to working with all Dispatch Operators and promoting their role within the SPSV Industry. The Commisssion aims to begin Dispatch Operator licensing in early summer 2009 and will be keeping registered operators informed of progress with regular bulletins.
Industry News Issue 9 published October 2008 highlights the revised National Maximum Taxi Fare to be introduced on 1st November 2008. This follows a detailed consultation process and includes a special Christmas and New Year rate. Information regarding meter verification and sealing is also provided and some hints on accomodating toll charges for the new M50 barrier free scheme.
Spring 2008 sees the start of the consultation process on the National Maximum Taxi Fare. This Newsletter also reminds Dispatch Operators of their need to register with the Commission and explains the future change in colours of the tamper-proof licensing discs.
